fluopink is a risography studio in Munich, founded by Lutz Ring – architect, designer and paper lover. The idea of founding our own label for handmade stationery arose from our enthusiasm for color, paper and the unique printing process of risography. Today, fluopink produces colorful postcards, art prints, notebooks and pads - in small editions, designed with great care and made by hand in our own studio.
For this we use our Risograph, a Japanese stencil printing machine that produces particularly beautiful printed matter in a sustainable manner using ecological consumables, without chemicals and with little energy consumption.
The printing process is similar to screen printing. The semi-transparent colors are printed layer by layer on top of each other in individual passes. The color is applied to the paper using a stencil - the master.
