Designed by our founder Inhee, these handcrafted porcelain matchboxes are a contemporary reinterpretation of an everyday classic. Inspired by the art of trompe-l'œil, each piece combines function, craftsmanship and playful design.
The “Let Me Do It For You” Porcelain Matchbox features an original hand-drawn illustration by Inhee, applied to the porcelain using a ceramic printing technique.
Faithfully recreating the shape of a traditional matchbox, it consists of a porcelain outer case and a sliding inner drawer. Two strike strips, one on each side of the inner drawer, allow the piece to function as a real matchbox. Matches are not included.
Beyond storing matches, the ceramic drawer can also be used as a small jewelry box or to keep tiny treasures and objects.
Each piece is handcrafted in porcelain and finished with a transparent glossy glaze. As a result of the artisanal production process, slight variations in shape and finish may occur, making every piece unique.

Diplomato presso l'Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Montpellier nel 2018, il designer Inhee Ma è dalla Corea del Sud e sviluppa un'attività multidisciplinare, che unisce l'arte contemporanea, design e artigianato. Attualmente vive e lavora a Parigi. Le collezioni INI CERAMIC nascono dall'incontro tra un'ispirazione estetica e la funzionalità degli oggetti di uso quotidiano. Tutti i pezzi INI CERAMIC sono realizzati a mano dalla designer, nel suo laboratorio nel 16° arrondissement di Parigi. In gres chamotte, vengono poi cotti ad alta temperatura e presentano un contrasto tra un interno smaltato trasparente lucido e un esterno grezzo che sottolinea la trama naturale della terra.
