The Mywabi tableware collection consists of high quality, unique ceramics, handmade -piece by piece- in Japan. The production is based on the world-famous Japanese pottery tradition. The artisanal approach is clearly visible; each piece is unique and has its own character. Although the designs of the collection can be described as ‘timeless’ inspired by the seasons of nature and the Japanese values, several times per year new pieces are added to the collection. The Mywabi product portfolio contains a variety of cups plates, bowls and typical objects belonging to the rich Japanese kitchen and its table culture. Each piece has been carefully selected and named by Mywabi’s founder Delja Blom, born and raised in Japan from Dutch parents. By giving each product a name, the individual identity of these pieces of art are underlined. Mywabi imports directly from Japan which enables a fair pricing policy for the highest quality of ceramics. The Mywabi brand was founded in The Netherlands by Delja Blom who was born and raised in Japan. Blom is a true ambassador of Japan, devoting her professional life to the Japanese culture of food. She was trained at the famous Tokyo Sushi Academy, and she has provided workshops for chefs and amateur cooks for more than a decade. Blom has often travelled between Europe and ‘The Land of the Rising Sun’, carrying new pieces of typical Japanese tableware to the West. The perfect match of deep Japanese kitchen knowledge and refined table-dressing skills is the basis of this brand.
