Our matcha bowls are lovingly handcrafted by a renowned manufacturer in the Tono region of Japan. This region is located in the southeast of Gifu Prefecture in central Japan and is considered the center of the world-famous Mino ceramics. As early as the 13th century, an important craftsmanship developed there around the processing of Chawan to prepare Matcha and this craftsmanship tradition is continued in perfection to this day.
Only natural clay is used to make our matcha bowls. The bowls are food-safe, free of harmful substances and dishwasher safe.
Due to hand manufacturing, there may be small variations in size. The weight, color and pattern of the bowl come. These minimal differences do not represent a quality defect, but rather make each bowl unique
