About BacktoBasiX - Kitsch Kitchen
Out of a love for travel — and for Mexico in particular — Kitsch Kitchen designs its own collection of home accessories and lifestyle products twice a year. The collections are produced and sold worldwide, with products such as rugs from India, bamboo door curtains from Vietnam, vases from Portugal and China and wall decoration from Mexico. Kitsch Kitchen works closely with local family businesses and workshops, where traditional crafts are passed on from generation to generation.
In addition to Kitsch Kitchen, the House of Brands also includes the brands Pimpelmees and Pepa Lani. Together, these brands bring color and creativity to everyday life — at home, at the office and at school — with a mix of interior accessories, stationery and gift items with a unique, recognizable style. Al meer dan 25 jaar brengt Kitsch Kitchen kleur, vrolijkheid en karakter in huis. Wat begon in 1994 met een winkel op de Noordermarkt in Amsterdam, groeide via de Eerste Bloemdwarsstraat, de Rozengracht en de webshop uit tot een kleurrijk House of Brands met winkels, een internationale groothandel en een nieuwe winkel op de Haarlemmerdijk 48.
Vanuit een liefde voor reizen — en in het bijzonder voor Mexico — ontwerpt Kitsch Kitchen twee keer per jaar een eigen collectie woonaccessoires en lifestyleproducten. De collecties worden wereldwijd geproduceerd en verkocht, met producten zoals vloerkleden uit India, bamboe deurgordijnen uit Vietnam, vazen uit Portugal en China en wanddecoratie uit Mexico. Daarbij werkt Kitsch Kitchen nauw samen met lokale familiebedrijven en ateliers, waar traditionele ambachten van generatie op generatie worden doorgegeven.
Onder het House of Brands vallen naast Kitsch Kitchen ook de merken Pimpelmees en Pepa Lani. Samen brengen deze merken kleur en creativiteit naar het dagelijks leven — thuis, op kantoor en op school — met een mix van interieuraccessoires, stationery en cadeauartikelen met een unieke, herkenbare stijl.
