Information
Tired of throwing away hundreds of cotton swabs every year? Are you looking for an ecological, economical and sustainable solution? Escurettes are made for you!
An ideal alternative to a cotton swab, the earpick has already proven its worth. Updated to appeal to young and old alike, it has become the new must-have accessory in your bathroom.
And yes, the escurette, this reusable accessory for life, allows you to clean your ears in a zero waste and zero plastic process! The best, right? In addition, it is very easy to use and much more suitable for our ears than a cotton swab.
Composed of local Charm wood and medical stainless steel, the escurette comes from the know-how of a family business and 100% made in Brittany.
You will also be charmed by its different colors: raw wood, natural or tangy colors, there is something for everyone, for the whole family.
Usage tips :
Use your accessory once or twice a week to remove visible earwax at the entrance to the ear.
Grasp the earpick by its handle (much like holding a pen) and then gently pick up the excess at the entrance to your ear.
Do not go further ! Earwax is an asset since it protects the eardrum, so you might as well keep it as long as it is not unsightly.
What about the pavilion? A towel wrapped around your index finger will suffice.
Before putting your earpick away, rinse the metal part with soapy water and then wipe dry.
Manufacturing:
French PEFC charm wood, natural colors, vegetable wax, medical stainless steel shovel.

The National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Studies (INRAP) sheds light on the history of the earpick. In bone, pewter, lead or even ivory, traces have been found since Antiquity. In Gallo-Roman times, toiletries then included tweezers, toothpicks and bronze earpicks. In the Middle Ages, it was said that "every well-organized woman had her fourgeoire, containing the escurette (earpick), the furgette (nailpick) and the fusequoir (toothpick)". We then say that we escurate (vb. Escurate) the ear. It was present in most homes until the 1960s. In Japan, ear cleaning called "mimikaki" (mimi: ear, persimmon: to clean) is an ancestral family process. As in India, this method is developing to become an undisputed professional practice: we then find ear curators in institutes and even in the streets. Abandoned in favor of the cotton swab in the 1960s (the effects of the consumer society ...), the earpick has been used for all time by health professionals. Its effectiveness is well established: Escurette, the historic zero plastic method.
