Zimba Home, Garden & Lifestyle offers distinctive handmade and responsibly made products from Zimbabwe, Kenya and Rwanda. The company was founded by Shadreck Huni, a Dutch entrepreneur with Zimbabwean roots. He began by making and selling traditional Zimbabwean art to help finance his studies in the Netherlands. After gaining many years of experience and developing a strong understanding of Western tastes and lifestyles, Shadreck decided to expand both the company and its collection. Previously, the company focused mainly on handmade garden decorations. It has now developed into a broader home, garden and lifestyle brand, offering decorative and functional products for both indoor and outdoor living. Zimba Home, Garden & Lifestyle is also expanding its network of makers into more countries around the world. The largest part of the collection will continue to come from Africa, where exceptional craftsmanship, traditional skills and creative use of materials can be found. 🌍 Our core values remain unchanged: fair trade, handmade craftsmanship, sustainability and recycling. 🤝♻️🌿 Many products are created from recycled or sustainably sourced materials, giving discarded resources a beautiful new purpose. Shadreck personally travels to meet the makers, learn about their craftsmanship and build direct, long-term relationships with them. He develops his own ideas and designs, and personally selects only the products that reflect his taste, experience and understanding of what is popular in the European market. By working directly with makers, we aim to support livelihoods, preserve valuable skills and ensure that every product has an authentic story behind it. What began as a small collection of Zimbabwean garden art has grown into an established company supplying retailers across Europe. Today, Zimba Home, Garden & Lifestyle brings together original and responsibly made products that add character, creativity and meaning to everyday living. 💚
