This is a carrot jam with rose water and saffron, inspired by Persian traditions. The spread combines sweet carrot with aromatic floral flavors and has a refined, light taste thanks to deliberately less sugar than traditional.
The jam goes well with many dishes: spread it on bread and rusk, but also use it with cheese, in dressings, with yoghurt or as a topping on desserts. It is traditionally prepared in small batches in Amsterdam.
