The name Taka is derived from Talia and Karin, mother and daughter. Taka Turmeric is therefore a small-scale company, run by mother and daughter. They grew up in a nature reserve in Cape Town, where herbs and spices are an essential part of life. Turmeric is a favorite of Karin, who learned about the positive properties of this spice while studying Ayurveda. After years of experimenting with different concoctions to find the best combination of ingredients, they have developed delicious healthy tea based on turmeric. Although mother and daughter grew up in South Africa, turmeric does not come from there. Taka uses organic turmeric from India. Talia and Karin believe that turmeric is essential for a healthy lifestyle. And to get the most out of this wonderful golden spice, it must be organic.
