The success story of SIT-Möbel in Mönchengladbach began in 1986 as a specialist for chairs and tables for café houses. Within a short time, this product became so popular that it was decided to also sell this "bistro furniture" in studio form through the furniture trade, which led to a very strong increase in sales during the years of reunification.
At the same time (1989), Jochen Floethe, the son of the company founder, came into the company and with him came new ideas and new furniture. In the beginning it was bistro chairs for outdoors or rattan dining room chairs for indoors, but at some point it became “real” furniture.
