About saltwaterdesigns
Hello, I'm Lea, the founder of saltwaterdesigns. As a real island child, the North Sea is my home and since 2020 I have been incorporating this love of the sea into my designs. I would like to share this and give everyone the opportunity to let the North Sea into their home.
It all started with the idea of creating timeless and maritime postcards and then selling them in my family's island farm shop. And so the idea became saltwaterdesigns. Since 2020 I have been designing postcards, stationery, posters, bags, handmade seashells and more! There is a lot of love for the sea in the designs - I want to share that and give everyone the opportunity to let the North Sea into their home with my products. I currently live and work in Hamburg and ship orders from here, but I'm also very happy to be a regular at Pellworm.
When I set up the Etsy shop, I was in the middle of my training as a communications designer in Hamburg. I also constantly designed new products. When I finished my training in 2021, my professional life began, but saltwaterdesigns has always taken an important place and has become so important to me that I have gained more time over the years and have now been able to fulfill my wish of a real online shop.
I'm so excited to see where the journey will take us, there are definitely still a lot of ideas in my head. So stay tuned for what’s to come. 🤍
