Bajot tables originally come from India. They are low wooden tables or platforms that were traditionally used during rituals, for placing offerings or images, but also as a low table when eating or serving.
This table is inspired by those original Bajot tables. The low square shape refers to the original use, while the item now fits well as a small piece of furniture in the home.
From the Factory collection
This Bajot table is part of our Factory collection. In this collection we use recycled wood with visible traces of previous use. Consider color differences, knots, small cracks and old repairs.
This small variant is also available as a larger version of 46 x 46 x 18 cm. You can use the two sizes separately, but you can also place them together for differences in height and size.
Material
The Factory collection is made from 100% FSC-certified recycled wood. This wood comes from old houses, abandoned factories and other buildings, for example from floorboards, wall panels and roof constructions.
Through years of use, the wood has acquired a full medium to dark patina. It consists of various local hardwood species from India. Because recycled wood is used, each item differs in color, grain, structure and finish.
The FSC Recycled quality mark indicates that the wood comes from recycled sources and that no illegal or unsustainable logging has taken place for this product.
Maintenance
Wipe the table with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents and do not leave moisture on the wood for too long. Use coasters for glasses, mugs or plant pots.
