Artist, animator, mediator and visual art teacher (www.lorette-sagouis.com), Lorette Sagouis created Læn in 2015.
The intention of the project is ecopoetics, or, literally, “home-made”, the invention of the habitat, the way of living. Læn are objects and fabrics for the home. Objects to live, use, inhabit, between art and craftsmanship. Each item is handcrafted which means that small imperfections are normal, they are part of the charm of a unique piece, woven, crocheted, sewn, or modeled by hand. The manufacture being artisanal, the dimensions may vary slightly from one model to another. The raw materials are selected, local when possible, natural and of high quality.
In 2020 she co-founded the non-profit organization Oikopoiese, which notably hosts and promotes her online store.
