With permanent hair dye, small color molecules are linked together by an oxidant to form large molecules, which become stuck between the keratin scales of your hair. That is why the color is permanent: it can no longer be removed. DeCOLOR time does not oxidize but has a reducing effect: it breaks down those large color molecules into small ones so that they can simply be rinsed out.
That is a significant difference from bleaching powder or decolorizing emulsions. They have an oxidizing effect and break down your own pigment in addition to the paint. DeCOLOR time leaves your natural pigment intact and is therefore not aggressive for your hair. According to the manufacturer, you can therefore do several treatments in quick succession if one time is not enough.
How many treatments you need depends on the color in it. The manufacturer recommends: blonde and bright red 1 to 2 treatments, dark red and brown 2 to 3, dark brown 3 to 4, black 4 to 6. Keep in mind that your own pigment may have already been partially decolorized by previous dyeing, so what appears underneath is not always exactly your old color.
The last step with the 3% developer is mandatory, not optional. If you skip it, the color will return. The reaction time of the mixture is 20 minutes; There is no point in leaving it on longer. Then wash the hair several times with shampoo and finish with a hair mask.

Instructions for use
Mix reducer and activator 1 to 1 in a non-metallic bowl, stir for a minute and apply immediately. Leave on for 20 minutes, rinse and wash several times with shampoo. Always end with the 3% developer.

Bij permanente haarverf worden kleine kleurmoleculen door een oxidatiemiddel aan elkaar gekoppeld tot grote moleculen, die vast komen te zitten tussen de keratineschubben van je haar. Daarom is die kleur permanent: hij kan er niet meer tussenuit. DeCOLOR time werkt niet oxiderend maar redúcerend: het breekt die grote kleurmoleculen weer af tot kleine, zodat ze gewoon uitgespoeld kunnen worden.
Dat is een wezenlijk verschil met blondeerpoeder of ontkleurende emulsies. Die werken oxiderend en breken náást de verf ook je eigen pigment af. DeCOLOR time laat je natuurlijke pigment intact en is daardoor niet agressief voor je haar. Volgens de fabrikant kun je daarom meerdere behandelingen kort achter elkaar doen wanneer één keer niet genoeg is.
Hoeveel behandelingen je nodig hebt hangt af van de kleur die erin zit. De fabrikant houdt aan: blond en felrood 1 tot 2 behandelingen, donkerrood en bruin 2 tot 3, donkerbruin 3 tot 4, zwart 4 tot 6. Houd er rekening mee dat je eigen pigment door eerder verven al deels ontkleurd kan zijn, dus wat eronder tevoorschijn komt is niet altijd precies je oude kleur.
De laatste stap met de 3% ontwikkelaar is verplicht, niet optioneel. Sla je die over, dan komt de kleur terug. De inwerktijd van het mengsel is 20 minuten; langer laten zitten heeft geen zin. Was het haar daarna meerdere keren met shampoo en sluit af met een haarmasker.

Gebruiksaanwijzing
Meng reduceerder en activator 1 op 1 in een niet-metalen kom, roer een minuut en breng direct aan. Laat 20 minuten inwerken, spoel uit en was meerdere keren met shampoo. Sluit altijd af met de 3% ontwikkelaar.
Veiligheid
