mekhada started importing Kazuri ceramic jewelry from Kenya and its own collection in 1998. The Kazuri necklaces are elaborately handcrafted. Each bead is molded from clay by hand, painted and fired at least 2 times. The result is an unmistakable jewelry that has found many followers all over the world.
