Lytse Boef

Hi everyone! How nice of you to come and read about our company.

We'll just start by explaining where our name comes from. The people from Friesland, of course, need no explanation at all, because they have known for a long time that lytse means 'small'!
This is 'named' after my son Hidde. Papa is Frisian and mama thought Lytse sounded much nicer, so we called him that. In the meantime, he's just not so lyts anymore (in my eyes).


When Hidde was about 3 or 4 months old, I noticed that he needed more and more challenging and drool proof material. I found out to find stuff that I considered suitable, namely beautiful, safe, affordable and durable, very difficult to find.

So I started tinkering myself, and gradually started experimenting with newer materials and techniques in order to continuously improve both the safety and the look of our items.
