Linaé Skincare

The story of Linaé is a beautiful family story. In the 1920s, Stéphanie Gastaldin's great-grandfather, Jérôme Vandecandelaère, left his native Belgium to take over an agricultural farm in Normandy and bring flax cultivation there. The quality of the soil and the mild climate are favorable. Over time, the farm prospered in the plain of Caen and in the 1950s it was the turn of his son Emile to take over. In partnership with neighboring farmers, this grower-entrepreneur develops the agricultural area up to a thousand hectares each year. Its first flax scutching plant was also opened in 1960. The fiber and seeds are extracted there from flax straw harvested during the summer.
