The name Kwooksta [pronounced: kwuksta] stands for diversity, joie de vivre and the little crazy things (the “kookiness”) of life.
The brand is the joint project of the Austro-British duo Lindsey and Chris. Inspired by the common nomadic life in Asia and the creativity of the local people in dealing with natural materials, they have been designing stylish bags with Kwooksta since 2020 and are putting innovative, sustainable materials on display.
The current collection focuses on a new type of jute material, organic cotton and vegetable-tanned leather. The bags are sewn in cooperation with a small, traditional family manufactory in the heart of global jute cultivation in West Bengal/India. Based on shared social values and sustainability principles, an open, honest and trustworthy relationship has been established with this certified partner.
