During high-temperature firing, natural sand granules in the clay may surface through the glaze as subtle dark spots, making every piece unique. The bowl is part of the wider Rutunda range, which includes teapots (1250ml), cups in two sizes, and select bowls and plates — all designed to mix and match into a coordinated table setting.
Handcrafted in a family-run pottery in Hanoi, now in its eighth generation, using locally sourced materials and non-toxic glazes. Food safe, dishwasher safe and microwave safe for everyday use. Its soft, rounded shape and the natural texture of speckled clay give it a warm, approachable look.
Finished with the distinctive blue-green "Northsea Beach" reactive glaze, evoking the calm, magical atmosphere where sand, sea and sky blend together. The unpredictable nature of the reactive glaze creates surprising patterns that can vary between the inside and outside, making every piece one of a kind. During firing, natural sand granules may surface through the glaze as delicate dark spots, adding to its authentic character.
