Poster of the painting 'Battle at Ter Heijde' painted by Jan Abrahamsz van Beerstraten in 1653-1666. This painting hangs in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. The naval battle took place on 10 August 1653 during the First Anglo-Dutch War. In the middle, the battle between the Dutch flagship Brederode (left) and the English flagship Resolution (right). There is no single winner, but the English caused more damage than the Dutch. Of the 11 ships that sank, only one was English. This is an exact image of the original painting in bright colors including brush strokes and canvas background. We also sell matching frames in different colors.
Poster van het schilderij ‘Slag bij Ter Heijde’ geschilderd door Jan Abrahamsz van Beerstraten in 1653-1666. Dit schilderij hangt in het Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. De zeeslag vond plaats op 10 augustus 1653 tijdens de eerste Engels-Nederlandse oorlog. In het midden vindt het gevecht tussen het Hollandse vlaggenschip Brederode (links) en het Engelse vlaggenschip Resolution (rechts) plaats. Er is niet één winnaar te benoemen echter richtten de Engelsen meer schade aan dan de Nederlanders. Van de 11 schepen die zonken, was er slechts één Engels.
