Emile Henry's factory has existed since 1850 and manufactures all products at its factory in Marcigny in southern Burgundy. The traditions and knowledge of the manufacturing processes are passed on from generation to generation. A large part of the kitchen products are still produced by hand and marked with the initials of the maker. Pottery made with passion and you can taste that love when you cook with Emile Henry products.
The unique HR® (High Resistance) ceramic is developed from Emile Henry's own laboratory. Designed for use by the professional and passionate home cooks. Made from natural materials, without the use of cadmium, nickel or lead. Non-toxic and safe to use and prepare.
Furthermore, the material is smooth, non-sticky and non-porous. The hard glaze is easy to clean and does not retain odors or bacteria. The Burgundy clay distributes heat evenly and slowly to the center of the baking dish and has great heat retention properties. Extremely scratch and impact resistant. Shock resistance: can be placed directly from the freezer into the oven.
By mixing the different items and colours, you can create beautiful, trendy combinations for your home, as well as eye-catching buffet presentations.
