Our Biophytum brand is in fact the heritage of Perfumery Monternier, a century-old company that was created during the Belle Epoque, in the city of Montpellier, rival of Grasse as a Mecca of Perfumery and among the main capitals of world botany. . It directly benefited from the influence of its Jardin des Plantes, the oldest in France, frequented from 1841 by a host of botanists, apothecaries, doctors and pharmacists from all over the world.
