BALSA is a committed Colombian leather goods brand.
If we had to list our commitments, there is first of all our zero waste approach, ecology. Indeed, we collect the skins of the food industry in Colombia and collaborate with a tannery certified by the Colombian State since it has its own wastewater treatment plant. Our leather is treated without chromium in order to limit our ecological impact, but also to limit allergens. On the other hand, a social commitment by offering humane working conditions: decent wages, half-yearly bonuses and social security to all our employees. We also promote the employment of women. We have about 70% women, 65% of whom are single mothers. And finally, our last commitment is to our customers: to enable them to buy ethical and sustainable items.
