Ruby red wine with violet reflections.
On the nose this South African Pinotage is wonderfully aromatic, with aromas of red currant, macerated black cherries and cinnamon spices. On the palate it shows a silky tannin structure, supported by a subtle acidity. The vanilla nuances are complemented with red fruit, wild berries, plums and blackberries. An elegant and complex Pinotage, with persistent flavors of juicy and ripe plums on the finish.
Expected evolution: this Pinotage will give its best up to 15 years after bottling.
Serving suggestions: Perfect with duck, game, lamb and Asian cuisine.

Cork Il Pinotage è un vitigno originario del Sudafrica, nato nel 1925 da un singolare incrocio tra Pinot Nero ed Hermitage (o Cinsaut). Padre del Pinotage è stato Abraham Izak Perold, professore universitario e viticoltore che cercava la migliore resistenza alle secche estati della regione del Western Cape in Sudafrica.
Vino dal colore rosso rubino con riflessi violacei.
Al naso questo Pinotage sudafricano è meravigliosamente aromatico, con profumi di ribes rosso, amarene macerate e spezie alla cannella. Al palato mostra una struttura tanninica setosa, sostenuta da una sottile acidità. Le sfumature di vaniglia si integrano con la frutta rossa, bacche selvatiche, prugne e more. Un Pinotage elegante e complesso, con sapori persistenti di prugne succose e mature sul finale.
Evoluzione prevista: questo Pinotage darà il suo meglio fino a 15 anni dall’imbottigliamento.
