Cape Blend Frans Malan has a ruby red color. On the nose an explosion of blackberry and dark cherry with touches of vanilla and hints of wood. On the palate it has a pleasant freshness with a persistent fruit finish. The wine has a good structure with round tannins.
Expected evolution: it will reach maturity between 5 and 8 years after harvest.
Serving suggestions: Meat dishes, such as Egyptian dukkha-crusted beef tenderloin, slow-roasted pork belly, roast duck and ostrich fillet.

Cork Nel 1991 Simonsig ha presentato il primo blend di Pinotage e Cabernet Sauvignon in occasione del Cape Winemakers Guild. Dopo il successo dell'annata 1991 la cantina ha deciso di realizzare questo blend in versione limitata, ma commercializzandolo al pubblico. Il vino così ottenuto prende il nome da Frans Malan, il fondatore di Simonsig e il patriarca della famiglia Malan.
Cape Blend Frans Malan si presenta di colore rosso rubino. Al naso un'esplosione di mora e ciliegia scura con tocchi di vaniglia e sentori di legno. Al palato ha una piacevole freschezza con un persistente finale di frutta. Il vino ha una buona struttura con tannini rotondi.
Evoluzione prevista: raggiungerà la maturità tra i 5 e gli 8 anni dalla vendemmia.
Abbinamenti a tavola: Piatti di carne, come filetto di manzo in crosta di dukkha egiziano, pancetta di maiale arrostita lentamente, anatra arrosto e filetto di struzzo.
