The main sources of inspiration for the Lalay brand are the artisans who still have a strong bond with Anatolian culture and their priceless unique crafts. Under the motto “everything must remain in its element” we started our (dream) journey towards high-level textiles in 2007. In the idyllic village of Babadağ-in Denizli (a small mountain village with approximately 3000 inhabitants), we realized our big dream of setting up a studio in 2013. The Lalay family is on its way to becoming a corporate company and prefers fair trade and sustainable products. The textiles are therefore produced with enthusiasm and hard work using handlooms. Lalay is known for high-quality textiles. The products are woven from unbleached and prewashed cotton and/or linen. You can feel and see the ultra soft quality. Precisely because we do not mass produce, we can supply the very best quality in hammam towels, bathrobes, plaids and pillows with our handloom machines and high-level cotton. The hand-knotted fringes give the product an even more exclusive look. We can rightly say that our products are unique items and that we distinguish ourselves from standard textile products. The world is changing quickly but Lalay still strives to maintain “everything must remain in its element”. The traditional handlooms are not forgotten but are being preserved by breathing new life into them. We care for Mother Nature. A dream came true!
