We are the first organic bean-to-bar chocolate makers in Brussels. This means, we import fine cacao beans directly from 8 plantations from across the globe, and then roast, grind and temper them into our signature chocolate bars in our workshop.
Origin (or terroir) is key. Like with wine. The names of the plantations feature prominently on our packging.
Sustainability is not just a word to us: we are paying a fair price (at least double of the Fairtrade price) for these premium organic beans. The plantations themselves apply a strict no-child-labour and eco-responsible policy.
In our atelier in Brussels we are adding European beetroot sugar, additional cacao butter and (in some cases) milk powder from the Belgian Ardennes.
All organic. No palm oil. No vanillin. No soy lecithin.
Our production facility is transparent (visit us!) and 100% green powered.
We offset the CO2 of the production of our packaging with a hydropower project in Congo.
Our chocolate leaves you with no regrets: no children have been harmed, no rainforest chopped down and our chocolate is not packed with sugar or doped with vanillin.
We want to do things right, from A to Z. And that... you can taste!
