J.Clay is a sock startup from Mönchengladbach. Inspired by the 80s and 90s, street art, sneakers and current trends, we want to be more than an ordinary clothing brand with J.Clay socks. J.Clay is for everyone who does not want to grow up and are still children in the heart ... like us ... We are two brothers, Moritz and Felix. Growing up in Mönchengladbach on the Lower Rhine in the mid -1980s, we get the inspiration for our socks from exactly this time, which was one of the most formative of our lives for us. Baggiejeans, hoodys, white tennis socks and sneakers were our daily uniform. A lifestyle, influenced by the Simpsons, Snoop Dogg and the Prince of Bel Air. A hand full of good friends with whom you have spent every day for years. Always on the go, always something going on. The first party, the first friend, the first beer. It seems like an endless summer, full of great memories! What a great time! But as life plays, we also got older and grown up at some point. The best friends pulled away and in most cases exchanged their hoody for a suit. You still meet 1-2 times a year ... laughs at old times ... and how cool it would be to turn the time back. "At that time". When we founded J.Clay in 2017, we wanted to bring back a piece of this freedom with our socks. Not just for us, but for everyone who think and feel like us.
