Description Dill is a plant with a smooth stem, 80 to 150 cm, with a spread of about thirty centimeters. The seeds are small (2.5 mm), oval, flattened with prominent ribs, brown in color. They split in two when drying and mature in August-September. Its flowers are particularly appreciated by bees. Its name comes from the ancient Greek “anethon” and means “quickly growing”, itself borrowed from ancient Egyptian, and “graveolens” comes from the Latin “gravis” (heavy, strong) and “olens” (smelling). Its essential oil with an intense anise scent, close to fennel, is appreciated in small doses to flavor dishes. Description L’Aneth est une plante à la tige lisse, de 80 à 150 cm, avec un étalement d’une trentaine de centimètres.
