Designed in Vienna, Hand-loomed in Denizli, Turkey El Patito Towels are founded in 2017 by us Melis and Burcu, two Turkish women entrepreneurs, based in Vienna. We wanted to give a contemporary touch to our grandmothers' traditional Turkish towels which are globally famous for their high quality, comfort and design. Turkish Towels are both eco-friendly, quick-drying, lightweight and multi-functional. Also known as Peshtemal or Hammam towels, we wanted to raise the bar and produce our products with only the finest material, 100% natural cotton, using hand-woven in Denizli, Turkey. All El Patito products, towels and bathrobes, are produced by experienced artisans in the world’s finest textile region, West Turkey. We carefully select and hand-pick our products, adding final touches with handmade glass evil eye beads, and natural ropes which shows how we carefully craft and design our products like everything in our daily life. Our towels and bathrobes have unique local designs and patterns inspired by our hometown and Vienna which gives the contemporary look and feel that leads to a bohemian style. We design in Vienna and our producer partner looms by using a hand-operated looming style with a hand-finishing process. By Purchasing El Patito, you support local artisans and our small business.
