How did the title of the picture come about?
The title arose from the interest of a friend of mine, a Danish collector named Kresten, in the picture. At my first exhibition, we talked about Basquiat's pictures that his buddy had hanging and came to talk about the current picture. At that time it was still a scarf and in progress, but he wanted to reserve it. Unfortunately, I have lost sight of him and now I think that one day the buyer could have a nice Dane at the door with a fat chunk in his pocket. But he had chosen another one that I will definitely reserve for him.

Wie entstand der Titel des Bildes?
Der Titel ergab sich aus dem Interesse eines befreundeten Dänischen Sammlers mit Namen Kresten zu dem Bild. Wir unterhielten uns bei meiner ersten Ausstellung über Basquiats Bilder, die sein Kumpel hängen hatte und kamen dabei auf das aktuelle Bild zu sprechen. Es war damals noch als Tuch und in Arbeit, doch er wollte es sich gerne reservieren. Leider habe ich ihn aus den Augen verloren und denke nun, dass der Käufer so eines Tages einen netten Dänen an der Tür haben könnte, der einen fetten Batzen in der Tasche bereithält. Er hatte sich aber ein weiteres ausgesucht, welches ich definitiv für ihn reserviere.
