Phycocyanin is an extract of our organic spirulina.
An ultraprotein also used as a food coloring, thanks to its cobalt blue color.
SUPERFOOD
Rich in protein, it stimulates the immune system, the production of antibodies, and lowers cholesterol. It has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It contains 75% protein, vitamin B, vitamin E, iron, magnesium, antioxidants, and minerals naturally present in the matrix of our organic spirulina.
Dosage as a supplement and superfood: 1 to 3 grams per day, in any food or beverage at room temperature.
COLORANT
Phycocyanin is a natural colorant, a valid alternative to the artificial coloring agent E133 for: ice cream, beverages, cocktails, baked goods, food products, dry goods, soaps, cosmetics, and any product requiring a natural and organic pigment.
Color potency >250: In a 10% solution, the coloring capacity of phycocyanin is greater than 250 color units. This measurement commonly refers to the absorbance at the typical wavelength of phycocyanin (approximately 620-630 nm) and is used to classify the quality or concentration of the coloring pigment.
Dosage as a natural colorant: 100% water-soluble, 0.05% to 0.5% per kg or liter of color, depending on the shade of light blue to cobalt blue. Tolerance: pH (4.0 to 8.0). Stable color at low temperatures (up to 40°C). Slow degradation at temperatures above 40°C. In an alcoholic environment, it tends to degrade, albeit slowly, after a few months.
This package can color from 400 kg (light blue) to 40 kg (cobalt blue) of finished product (starting from a white product).
