A Brief Journey to Excellence
The story of Samura began in 2003. The company’s founder, Alexey Yakovlev, inspired by Japanese culture and the exceptional quality of traditional blades, set an ambitious goal: to make true Japanese sharpness accessible to a wider audience. In the early years, he regularly traveled to Japan, working closely with local crafters and gradually absorbing their knowledge and techniques. Over time, Samura established its own production of designer knife collections while preserving what matters most — premium steel blades with razor-sharp edges. Today, Samura is an international brand with a distinctive identity and an uncompromising approach to quality.
