WHO IS TAYF We are Tamy, 28, from Germany & Muhanad, 34, from Palestine, and spontaneously traveled through Turkey in spring 2021. Enchanted by the warmth of the people & the beauty of the nature, we visited a small weaving mill near Pamukkale where Turkish cotton blankets and towels were made. There we met our current business partners as hosts of our accommodation - the idea of Tayf was born. Without further ado, we moved to Istanbul together, where we now live as a couple & business partners. We learn every day to make our dream of a fair business that brings joy to others come true with Tayf. In the Arabic language, Tayf means ‘spectrum’ or ‘diversity of things’, which to us is the perfect name to reflect the beauty and diversity that we hope to capture in our blankets and towels. We believe that high quality products and human responsibility go hand in hand. That is why we make sure that our work is based on humanity, trust, and sustainability. SUSTAINABLE Our production in Turkey is done in semi-automatic looms, meaning we do not produce in big factories. This allows us to save on CO2-emissions and enables us to provide your store with an authentic product. The dye of our cotton is certified with the OEKO-TEX® certificate and the cotton itself is untreated. FAIR We know who we work with: There are no unknown middlemen, and the manufacturing is done by small family businesses and women groups who get paid adequately. We are proud to say that we support their livelihood through our work. If you are looking for authentic, sustainable and fairly produced products, we would be happy to hear from you. GENERAL TERMS Our manufacturing is currently happening in Turkey. Depending on the size of the order, production & shipment time can vary. Please note that Tayf is not responsible for any customs that might be charged when shipping to Europe. Custom fees may apply and are to be paid by the customer. **IMPORTANT UPDATE** Since January 2024, we haven taken the fulfilment of our orders back into our own hands - just like a real small business. we do this next to our other jobs. This means that orders can take some time to be fulfilled, especially over a weekend. Please calculate with between 3 and 5 business days. CURRENTLY we are on vacation until March 10 and cannot process orders in this time. We appreciate your understanding!:)
