The wild plum consists of a mixture of different red cherry plums (Prunus cerasifera). These occur in orchards or grow wild on roadsides, where I harvest them. The fruits vary in taste from sweet to slightly sour. This spread, flavored with raw cane sugar, is fruity and sour.
