These are whole white peppercorns from Cameroon. They grow on volcanic soil that is rich in minerals, which gives the pepper its characteristic taste. The grains are picked when fully ripe and then cleaned in running water for several days. This causes the outer shell to disappear and only the core remains.
After sun-drying, the pepper grains are selected by hand. Only the largest and most perfect specimens are packaged. The taste is crisp and powerful with a mineral aroma and round, intense sharpness. Perfect for seafood, fish, poultry and light meats. Also suitable for vegetable dishes and salads.

Founded by Anja Matthes, Pure Pepper sells fair trade pepper from Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka and other selected pepper growing areas. Only pepper from the current harvest. Ms. Matthes selects the peppers personally on site. She knows each of her business partners personally. She pays fairly for carefully hand-picked pepper. The peppers are sun-dried and therefore particularly aromatic. The peppers are sold in light- and aroma-protected jars, which can be refilled with refill packs.
