The syringe works on pressure, so you pump a few times before pressing the lever. After 3 to 4 pumps you can start nebulizing. If the droplets become larger, it is time to pump again. You can also open the nozzle slightly for a harder jet, but be careful. After use, it is smart to loosen the head so that the pressure is released from the bottle and the nozzle does not leak.
