The name is simply from former housemates, or; Roommates -> Rummates -> MATES. By carefully selecting rums from renowned distilleries in Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Trinidad, we have developed a range of products that satisfy both the demanding palate of rum lovers and those new to the world of rum.
