Lavandiska is a new brand of home and children's items. Launched in 2015, its name was chosen in honor of the affectionate nickname called by the father of the company’s founder when she was a child, “lavandisca”, a Portuguese bird known for its unique tail and bouncy gait. An emotional brand inspired by family life and timeless traditions, combining modern design, multiculturalism and Portuguese national identity. 100% made with love in Portugal! The team: Filipa Meira She studied law and was a lawyer, but in college she got lost making posters for parties or bookmarks to sell. As a child, she would spend hours at her grandparents' house, interspersing games in the sewing room, in her grandfather's office or styling her grandmother's clothes after raiding her closet. One day she decided to exchange normative codes for color codes. She founded Lavandiska in 2015 and since 2016 she has divided her time between the brand and a large family that is her inspiration. Emotive, she loves the energy of the beginning of all things, she has in color the word of choice and if it were a verb it would be to do. Maria Rocha She is a designer by training and passionate about beautiful things. She created Maria Sardinha, was a trainer in the IT area, worked as a designer for several national brands, but as a child she just wanted to be head of the scouts. She is a mother of 3, loves a slice of pizza and a good glass of wine. She's pure positive energy, doesn't believe in impossibilities and when in doubt she puts the music to the max and everything is fine. Carlos Vinegar Photography took him when he was still studying Architecture. Behind the foreign air is a gem of a Barcelense with an easy smile and a Minho response on the tip of his tongue. A drooling father, he only trades a game of Padel for a patus with his friends for a lifetime. Pragmatic and decisive, he doesn't shoot without sound in the box, not even a good dose of coffee, but he's ready for any madness, even if it's to shoot in less than a square meter.
