Matcha (Ceremonial Grade)
Information
Origin: Kagoshima (鹿児島), Kyushu Island, Japan
Ceremonial matcha (セレモニアル抹茶) from Kagoshima is made from 100% green tea leaves of the first harvest of the new tea season. About twenty days before picking, the leaves (tencha) are carefully shaded to protect them from sunlight. This traditional method increases chlorophyll levels, deepens the green color, and produces leaves that are softer and richer in flavor. After harvest, the leaves are ground into a fine powder using a stone mill.
Grown in Kagoshima’s nutrient-rich volcanic soil, this matcha offers a natural sweetness and umami, perfectly balancing a subtle bitterness with a vibrant, deep green color. It is ideal for tea ceremonies and preparing a smooth, authentic matcha tea.
To prepare: whisk 2–3 g of matcha with 50–100 ml of warm water (65°C) for a smooth, authentic experience.

Cherish your MOMENT with tea I was born and raised in Japan and that is why I have been familiar with Japanese Matcha & Teas from an early age. Even after more than 40 years, I still drink several cups of tea every day and my interest in tea is endless. At the moment I am enjoying experimenting and baking with Matcha. Besides the taste of tea, I am also impressed by the infinite cooking possibilities of tea. Another important aspect of my passion for tea is that it is healthy to drink. However, the main reason I am attracted to Japanese Matcha & Teas is the life force of a Japanese tea ceremony called “Sado” 茶道. “Ichi-go Ichi-e”(一期一会) literally means “1 time, 1 meeting”. Every moment in your life is unique. Be aware of the moment that makes your life happy. It is my pleasure to serve the Japanese Matcha & Teas selected by me to make your moment unforgettable.
