A little research on this miracle fruit led us to find out that Haskap (Lonicera caerulea) is the Japanese name of the Ainu people of northern Japan for the haskap berry, which in their language means "berries of long life and good eyesight "ハスカッチ". In Russia and Japan, these berries have been valued and popular for centuries for their unique and delicious taste and extraordinary medicinal properties, but they are almost unknown in Europe.
