Giulavi was born as an expression of the only being, as such each piece created will be unique, the perimeter of each object will always be cut in a different shape. Giulavi is a handmade product made in Italy. I am Pier Giorgio Laportella and I am an Italian craftsman, I live in Rome where in my laboratory I make my creations of contemporary craftsmanship. The push I had in immersing myself in this project is to create something that is not just form and function, but to give it a way of expressing. Using objects and thinking about what they represent is a way to better focus thought. Giulavi a series of manufactories made with the aid of lasers and CNC machines are all unique pieces, they differ from each other in the shape of the perimeter which is always different and never replicated.
