SUStee is a ‘watering checker’ that can tell you when to water your plant by changing its colour. SUStee's inner core is 100% natural, made from non-woven cotton, and can be easily replaced. Depending on the type of soil used, the inner core has a life span of 6 to 24 months. Its body is made from durable, high quality polycarbonate. Suitable for all types of soil and plants: SUStee can be used for almost all plants that grow in soils with a certain level of moisture retention: from bog moss to gardening culture soil, Akadama soil, black earth, bark, coco peat, peat moss and vermiculite. It is also instrumental in hydroculture, such as hydroponic cultivation and bottom watering, as well as in container vegetable gardening and roof-top open culture. Based on pF-value, needs no batteries: SUStee is the first moisture checker with pF value indicator (available water capacity) for your home! With SUStee the root's ability to absorb water - or the plant's "thirst" becomes visible. There is a "pF-value" spectrum which is good for all plants ("ideal moisture level "). SUStee is designed to change its colour from white to blue at a pF-value of 2.0, which is the middle value of the "ideal moisture level ". This way, the "ideal moisture level " suitable for every plant can be monitored for every type of plant and soil.
