ARCHITECT MUM began as a creative project at the end of 2018, shortly after the daughter of company founder Carolin Hacker celebrated her 1st birthday. Caro asked herself the question "why are most things that are intended for the children's room actually designed in such a way that they become obsolete after just a few years?" Her ambition has been piqued, and so she sets out to find a solution to her problem - she develops a benchmark that is timeless, minimalist and customizable. She drew more than 100 children's measuring sticks by hand every evening, until a short time later she digitized the product and was able to export the customer data for a printed measuring stick with the help of a configurator. Finding solutions to problems - this pattern runs through her entire career as an entrepreneur. Caro also developed the Creative Cube because she encountered a problem in her everyday family life. “Our daughter received the Woody pencils from Stabilo as a gift. Due to its ergonomics, however, she could never get to all the pens when they were in the box. After she had painted, it was also difficult for her to put the pens away again. So all 18 pens were always lying around in our living room or on and under our kitchen table," Caro remembers, "when she was painting with water, it often happened that the glass of water fell over during the creative process. I knew we needed a pen holder to solve our problems, but I didn't want a red plastic ladybug in our home.” So Caro gets started and designs her own pen holder. The result is a Creative Cube that is minimalist and works beautifully in both children's and adult environments. The Cube is designed to accompany its owner for a lifetime: thanks to its neutral design, it is equally appealing to children and adults of all ages and definitely does not have to move when the children's room becomes a teenager's room. It is also made of wood, which makes it a very valuable and durable product in contrast to its plastic counterparts.
