A FAN OF is a fresh independent brand based in Barcelona. We design and produce hand fans, locally and sustainably. Our fans are all handmade by artisans in our lab in Cataluña (Spain). We only use selected materials, fine pear wood polished by hand, with no varnishes, 100% cotton digitally printed using ECO-certified ink by OEKO and a secret ingredient, our love for what we do. Our mission was to take an iconic symbol of Spain, that for way too long was being considered like either an old fashioned object and a low quality souvenir imported from some big manufacturers exploiting the workers in China, freshening it up and making it modern, contemporary, fashionable and desired accessory that has nothing less than a bag or jewel. We wanted edgy and cool designs, high quality, no toxic materials at any stage of the life of the product - from production to the end usage. We want to support local production of traditional products, authenticity and tradition.
