Papetri paperworks is een klein bedrijf opgericht in 2012, een fabriek in de ware klassieke zin, die zich bezighoudt met het ontwerp, de illustratie en de productie van papierproducten. Hier wordt slow design gemixt met de toolbox van 'low tech', worden alle items met de hand gemaakt, in kleine series, en komen de grondstoffen uitsluitend uit duurzame bronnen. De illustraties en inhoud zijn gekoppeld aan de naam van de architect Mimi Mónus met hun ietwat surrealistische wereld.
De werkplaats en merkwinkel van Papetri paperworks is actief in het centrum van Boedapest, Hongarije. Onze winkel is geopend in 2019 en ontwikkelt zich sindsdien dynamisch. Inmiddels is het uitgegroeid van een individueel merk tot een familiebedrijf, de twee eigenaren zijn architect Mími Mónus en cultuurhistoricus László Böröcz. Ze wonen en werken samen. Wij illustreren, ontwerpen en produceren boeken, ansichtkaarten, prenten en allerhande papierproducten, allemaal in eigen atelier en drukkerij. Papetri paperworks is a small business founded in 2012, a manufactory in the true classical sense, which deals with the design, illustration and production of paper products. Here, slow design is mixed with the toolbox of 'low tech', all items are made by hand, in small series, and the raw materials come exclusively from sustainable sources. The illustrations and contents are linked to the name of the architect Mimi Mónus with their somewhat surreal world.
The workshop and brand store of Papetri paperworks operates in downtown Budapest, Hungary. Our store opened in 2019 and has been developing dynamically ever since. In the meantime, it has developed from an individual brand into a family business, the two owners are architect Mími Mónus and culture historian László Böröcz. They live and work together. We illustrate, design and produce books, postcards, prints and all kinds of paper products, all in our own workshop and printing shop.
