Archivaris wordt gerund door het man en vrouw-duo William en Sarah, maar in de afgelopen 20 jaar hebben we langzaamaan een aantal andere dappere zielen in de mix verwelkomd. Met gastoptredens van onze dochter Madeleine, en de zeer dappere Katie (de eerste medewerkster die geen lid van de familie was) tot de nieuwste aanwinsten bij onze Letterpress drukkerijen. We delen allemaal de overtuiging dat het geven van geschenken leuk is, en dat de wereld een beetje vrolijker wordt met een mix van mooie dingen en een vleugje William's humor.
Archivaris is opgericht in 1998 (verdorie, dat betekent dat we ons al heel lang zorgen maken of we morgen wel een goed idee zullen hebben!). Zoals de naam al doet vermoeden; de archieven van het Natural History Museum is waar we voor het eerst begonnen. Hoewel de archieven zijn veranderd, is het enthousiasme voor het zoeken naar afbeeldingen niet verdwenen. In samenwerking met artiesten over de hele wereld hebben we het beste assortiment Britse boekdrukkaarten, prenten gemaakt en laten we onze luxe lucifers niet vergeten.
Inkt en papier zijn altijd centrale ingrediënten geweest voor het bedrijf en nu we de trotse eigenaren zijn van de grootste gespecialiseerde Letterpress-drukkerij van Groot-Brittannië, hebben we de middelen om onze beroemde kwaliteit en innovatie naar een nog hoger niveau te tillen. U, onze klanten, bent fabelachtig geavanceerd en eist terecht niet alleen kwaliteit, maar ook integriteit bij de productie en wij gaan met u mee op deze spannende reis waar 'ongebonden consumentisme' wordt vervangen door 'bewust geven'.
Of je ons nu hebt ontmoet op beurzen (en bent verblind door de pakken van William) of ons gewoon hebt leren kennen via onze producten. We hopen dat je wat plezier hebt gehad aan onze collecties, in deze zeer gekke wereld. Archivist is run by husband and wife duo William and Sarah, but over the last 20 years we have slowly welcomed some other brave souls into the mix. With guest appearances by our daughter Madeleine, and the very brave Katie (the first employee not to be a member of the family) to the newest additions at our Letterpress printers. We all share the conviction that gift giving is a joy, and that the world is a bit brighter with a mix of beautiful things and a touch of William’s wit.
Archivist was founded in 1998, (blimey that means that we’ve been anxiously worrying about whether we’ll have a good idea tomorrow for a very long time!). As the name might suggest; the archives of the Natural History Museum is where we first began. Although the archives have changed the enthusiasm for hunting for images has not gone. Collaborating with artists all over the world, we have created the finest range of British Letterpress Cards, Prints and lest we forget our luxury matches.
Ink and Paper have always been central ingredients to the business and now that we are the proud owners of Britain’s largest dedicated Letterpress printing facility, we have the wherewithal to take our famous quality and innovation to even higher levels. You, our customers are fabulously sophisticated and are rightly demanding of not only quality but integrity in manufacture and we are with you on this exciting journey where ‘unfettered consumerism’ is replaced by ‘conscious giving’.
Whether you have met us at trade shows (and been blinded by William’s suits) or just got to know us through our products. We hope you have got some joy out of our collections, in this very mad world.
