Sono Angelina Severino, artista visiva e designer con sede ad Amsterdam. POSTERESS è il mio alter ego, e anche il nome del mio progetto di poster art che dichiara la grafica come una forma d'arte indipendente e autosostenibile.
Il poster come formato pubblicitario è praticamente scomparso dalle strade e si è spostato sul web, dove si è trasformato in banner animati, intestazioni di siti Web e annunci popup. Con il mio lavoro voglio dimostrare che il poster non è solo uno strumento funzionale per aumentare le vendite, è una forma d'arte in sé. The poster as an advertising format has practically disappeared from the streets and moved to the web, where it transformed into animated banners, website headers and popup ads. The format of the artistic printed poster therefore becomes an artefact. Poster Art now finds its place in private homes, offices, hotels, where it retains its "art for the people" status and its advertising duties, this time around promoting art in everyday life.
With my work I want to show that the poster is not just a functional tool for boosting sales, it is an art form in itself.
