Om FAMOUS REBEL LTD
Vi har oprettet Famous Rebel som alternativet til en verden fuld af sygt søde kliché-kunstplakater og inspirerende citater. Oprindeligt solgte vi kun vægkunstbilleder online, men for nylig er vi begyndt at vokse ind i boligindretning, mode og endda lyskasser (det er mine babyer, og jeg har en tendens til at drøne videre om dem).
De fleste af produkterne er lavet her eller designet i huset i butikken i Totnes. Vi har en masse produkter, der er håndlavede (f.eks. nævnte lyskasser og vintageskilte).
Vi har en tæt sammentømret gruppe af venner og familie, som hjælper med det meste, så vi forsøger ikke at få noget masseproduceret. Vores produktsortiment er måske vokset, men de har alle et unikt Famous Rebel touch eller stil. Vores designs har altid handlet om ideen først, og hvordan de får dig til at føle. Med min baggrund som Creative Director og Annoncer & Marketing er det nok ikke en tilfældighed. Ideen kom altid først. Bland i en rebelsk natur, og du har Famous Rebel.
Folk fortalte os, at vi må være gale for at åbne en detailbutik, så det var det, vi gjorde for nylig. Jeg sagde, at vi gik imod kornet. Du finder os i den skæve by Totnes i South Devon.
Dette var et hasardspil, og midt i en pandemi satte vi til tider alvorligt spørgsmålstegn ved vores fornuft. Reaktionen på butikken har været fantastisk, hvilket giver os mulighed for virkelig at få en fornemmelse af de produkter, folk kunne lide, og at møde kunderne ansigt til ansigt.

At få folk til at grine af dine designs eller sige, at dette er en fed butik, er den bedste følelse nogensinde (forhåbentlig var det sjove designs, de grinede af). We set up Famous Rebel as the alternative to a world full of sickly sweet cliche'd art posters and inspirational quotes. Originally we only sold Wall Art prints online but recently we have started to grow into Home Decor, Fashion and even Light Boxes ( these are my babies and I will tend to drone on about them ).
Most of the products are made here or designed in house at the shop in Totnes. We have a lot of products that are hand made ( did I mention light boxes and vintage signs) .
We have a close knit group of friends and family who help out with most things , so we try to not have anything mass produced. Our product range may have grown but they all have or unique Famous Rebel touch or style. Our designs have always been about the idea first and how they make you feel. With my background as a Creative Director an Ads & Marketing it's probably not a coincidence. The idea always came first. Mix in a rebellious nature and you have Famous Rebel.
People told us we must be mad to open a retail store, so that's what we did recently. I did say we went against the grain. You'll find us in the quirky town of Totnes in South Devon.
This was a gamble and in the middle of a pandemic we seriously questioned our sanity at times. The reaction to the shop has been amazing, allowing us to really get a feel for the products people liked and to get to meet customers face to face.
I can honestly say it's the best decision we have made. Having people crack up laughing at your designs or saying this is a cool shop is the best feeling ever ( hopefully they were funny designs they were laughing at).
